- The 1965 Ohio State football team was co-captained by a pair of Kappa Sigma's, Greg Lashutka and Ike Kelley, who would later be drafted by the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively
- The 1979 Columbus Mayoral race was between two Brothers of the Alpha-Sigma Chapter, Tom Moody (R) and Bill Boyland (D). Moody, the incumbent, won the race for his third consecutive term
- Over the last 40 years of Columbus mayors, Brothers of Alpha-Sigma have claimed office for 20 of them. Tom Moody (1972-84) and Greg Lashutka (1992-2000)
